THINGS TO DO AROUND THE SAFA COTTAGE

There is plenty to do in and around Ziran Tangmarg.​ Each season brings something beautiful to its surroundings. Heavenly blue skies in the summer, colourful wildflowers in spring, crimson chinar leaves in autumn and a magical carpet of white in winters.

Arround 2 to 3 kms is the Drung waterfall that freezes completely in winters and is a sight to behold. Our caretaker can also arrange for a local guide who can take you on some beautiful day hikes to the most pristine spots of the Drung Valley.

You can also go for a fun ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) ride to take you to the Drang Waterfall. These can be hired from the main square of the Tangmarg town.

A 30 mins drive will take to the popular hill town of Gulmarg while the lesser-known Doodhpaathri (imagine endless meadows and a vast expanse of pine trees) is just a 02 hour drive away.
